The village of Knapton is situated in North Norfolk, approximately 20 miles north east of Norwich. It is a quiet village, but within 2 miles we have a sandy beach, the holiday resorts of Cromer and Mundesley, the Bittern Line (running a regular train service between Sheringham and Norwich), the market town of North Walsham, swimming pools, fitness centres, bowls clubs, libraries, post offices, hotels, cafes, and public houses. Pigneys Wood - Big Lottery Fund Success! The management of North Norfolk Community Trust are pleased to announce that they have been awarded a grant of £47,350 to finance planned developments at Pigneys Wood. For details of how this grant will improve Pigneys Wood look at the February/March issue of "Knapton News"
"Knapton News" is the name of our village newsletter. It has been running since June 2007 and has become a valuable source of information for villagers and others. It is produced by a small team of volunteers. Funding for the first year's production was provided by our Parish Council. The funding for our second is being provided by the Bacton Gas site operators. You can view copies of the current and previous issues here:
