About Knapton

The village of Knapton is situated in North Norfolk, approximately 20 miles north east of Norwich. It is a quiet village, but within 2 miles we have a sandy beach, the holiday resorts of Cromer and Mundesley, the Bittern Line (running a regular train service between Sheringham and Norwich), the market town of North Walsham, swimming pools, fitness centres, bowls clubs, libraries, post offices, hotels, cafes, and public houses. On the weekend of July 4th and 5th, 2009, a special event is planned for the village - KNAPTON TOGETHER. This will be a celebration of Knapton and village life today. Events are still being finalised, however, details of the plans to date can be viewed from here

"Knapton News" is the name of our village newsletter. It has been running since June 2007 and has become a valuable source of information for villagers and others. It is produced by a small team of volunteers. Funding for the first year's production was provided by our Parish Council. The funding for our second is being provided by the Bacton Gas site operators. You can view copies of the current and previous issues here:
