Activities - Art Club

The Knapton Art Group was started in 1984 by Denis Haynes and is held in Knapton Village Hall.

Beginning with stalwarts like Arthur and Doris Bradley. John Stear, and Betty Hammond, they (with others) kept the Club going in summer and winter.

Apart from the initial couple of years, an 'Art Exhibition' has always been held at August Bank Holiday weekend, where a good selection of our paintings can be viewed and purchased.

The club meets on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00, apart from the dark evenings between Christmas and Easter when we meet in the afternoon, between 2:00 and 4:00. Although not essentially teaching art, there is always lots of help from other artists in oils, water colours and pastels.
